Simply Samphire
Sautéed Connemara Samphire
Ingredients
Bunch of Samphire
Olive oil
Black Pepper
Method
Take a bunch of samphire and snip off any woody stems that remain attached to the fleshy part of the samphire and wash in cold water. Once washed set aside in a pot. Put the kettle on to boil. Once boiled, pour the boiled water over the samphire in the pot to blanche for 4-5 minutes. Drain the water and refresh in cold water before placing the samphire in your serving dish. Drizzle olive oil and crack some black pepper on top to serve. There's no need to add any salt as the samphire is already naturally and deliciously salty!
